Before the summer concert season begins, Ravinia hosts two major
events that raise funds for the festival’s Reach*Teach*Play education
programs: the Ravinia Associates Board’s Music Matters benefit,
and the Ravinia Board of Trustees’ Magic of Music golf benefit.
Music Matters was held at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel on May 12.
The evening included cocktails, live music, dinner, and auction,
and a special tribute to Stanley Freehling, the former chairman
affectionately known as “Mr. Ravinia,” in honor of his incredible
generosity to the festival and his tremendous impact on the arts
throughout Chicagoland. Magic of Music was held on May 21 at the
Glen View Club. Ravinia is grateful to the sponsors below for their
