A MESSAGE FROM EXELON

Exelon’s success as a leading energy provider

and the success of the community are one in the

same. That’s why the company has a strong tra-

dition of committing its energy and resources to

the communities it serves. Through its corporate

citizenship program,

Energy for the Community

,

Exelon creates new collaborations with valued

community-based nonprofits. These partner-

ships have delivered cutting-edge ideas and sig-

nificant volunteer hours that achieve meaning-

ful and measurable change for the better.

Exelon’s corporate citizenship program is unlike

others. The company invests its dollars and em-

ployee time in partnerships that address com-

munity needs in education, diversity and in-

clusion, environmental projects, neighborhood

development, and local arts and cultural activi-

ties. In 2017, Exelon donated more than $52 mil-

lion in corporate contributions and grants to

over 3,200 nonprofit organizations. By working

hand-in-hand with its nonprofit partners, Ex-

elon generates positive results in the commu-

nity. Neighborhood organizations are able to

grow their programs to reach more community

members thanks to Exelon’s funding, volunteer

support, and senior thought leadership in nu-

merous public–private partnerships.

Exelon employees are givers who lead the way

in determining where and when assistance is

needed most. When individuals and families

need help, Exelon employees respond instantly.

Exelon employees provided 210,000 hours of

volunteer service in 2017 to support charitable

events, activities, and programs in our service

territories. Last year, employees also pledged

over $8.4 million during the company’s annual

Employee Giving Campaign.

In 2017, Points of Light named Exelon to the Civ-

ic 50, the organization’s list of the country’s 50

most community-minded companies. Civic 50

winners are selected based on their investment

in community engagement, ability to integrate

programs into key business functions, policies

and incentives supporting volunteerism, and

social and business impact. Exelon was named

the leader in the utility sector. Points of Light

is the world’s largest organization dedicated to

volunteer service.
