Etched with Love
Unique designs and meaningful inscriptions
are how couples are putting a personal touch
on the ultimate symbol of the ceremony
By Nola Sarkisian-Miller, CTW Features
Classic platinum and yellow gold wedding bands always are in style, but couples today
also are embracing non-traditional looks. Nature-inspired themes mimicking vines
or ribbons, asymmetrical bands and bands incorporating colorful gemstones, such as
sapphires, emeralds and amethysts, are gaining popularity.
Generally, brides are looking for something that speaks to themselves and is an
expression of their unique interests.
Couples also are imprinting their individuality on the rings with personal inscriptions.
Romantic thoughts, like “I love you,” “always” and “forever” are classic inscription ideas.
To stand out, other couples are embracing pet names, inside jokes, French and Italian
words of love and even text shorthand.
