Bridal Suits

Dresses not your style? Don’t fret.

Here’s how to rock a wedding-worthy

pantsuit on your big day

By Cathy Cassata, CTW Features

You never wear dresses, so why would

you start on your wedding day? After all,

the day is all about you and every single

detail should scream it. Ditch the pressure

to wear a dress and consider a bridal suit

suited especially for you.

STICK TO TRADITIONAL

You can’t go wrong with a traditional but

elegant pantsuit that still says bride. White

satin will do the trick or pick something

with a little more pop on top, like an

embroidered bodice for elegance and style.

Add some sparkling jewelry to the mix and

all eyes will surely be on you.

GO GRANDIOSE

Want some dress features without wearing

an actual dress? Get the best of both worlds

by rocking a longer top that dramatically

drapes down like a train in the back. You’ll

give the impression to those behind you

that you’re donning a dress sacrificing

comfort.

Or you could blend together masculine and

feminine elements by pairing pants with a

flirty top with bows, sequins or sparkles to

create a unique bridal ensemble.

SHOW SOME LEG

If something a little sexier is your style,

choose a suit with short or an off the shoul-

der or sleeveless top. These options are also

great if you’re planning a summer soiree.

Not only will you be the “cool” bride, but

you’ll also be the most comfortable on the

dance floor.

REVEL IN THE ROMPER

Ladies that love the ease and simplicity

of a one-piece should try a romper on for

size. Just step into a plain, bedazzled or lace

romper for an effortlessly stylish wedding

day getup.

SHOES MATTER

While you might be able to hide your shoes

(maybe even wear flip flops) under a wed-

ding dress, your feet will be more visible

if you wear a suit or romper. So find a pair

that completes your look from head to toe.
