A MESSAGE FROM HYUNDAI
Hyundai is proud to be a sponsor of Ravinia for a fourth consecutive year. It is at the core of Hyundai’s
culture to give back to the communities in which we live and do business. Our corporate social respon-
sibility work provides support in a variety of areas, including education, arts/culture, volunteerism,
and children’s health. We believe in doing good things together.
rough Hyundai Hope On Wheels, our nonpro t organization, we are committed to funding pedi-
atric cancer research and raising awareness about the disease. Every minutes, a child is diagnosed
with cancer in the United States. Because of research, percent of these cancers can be cured; how-
ever, pediatric cancer remains the leading disease-related cause of death for children in the US. Since
, we have funded over
million in life-saving research, providing grants for innovative pediat-
ric cancer researchers in the US. In total, more than
pediatric cancer research projects have been
funded in pursuit of cures and improving care for children with cancer. With the purchase of every
new vehicle, Hyundai and its dealers make a donation to pediatric cancer research.
is year, Hyundai Hope On Wheels is traveling the nation in a Hyundai Santa Fe, the o cial hope
vehicle, to the children’s hospital grant winners. e vehicle serves as a canvas for hope, covered with
handprints collected from children across the country battling this disease. In September, National Pe-
diatric Cancer Awareness month, we will announce a series of events across the nation to bring greater
awareness about the issue. Supporters and followers of Hyundai Hope On Wheels are encouraged to
post on social media using EndChildhoodCancer.
is year marks our th year in support of this cause,
and we are proud of this milestone. However, there
remains much more work to do. Our goal is to reach
the day when no family ever has to hear the words
“Your child has cancer.” And that truly will be a day
to celebrate.
